African Estimate Group is a Security Services Provider registered with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA). Since our establishment, we have pursued and formed strategic alliances with various risk management, business consulting, security, and investigation firms. This dynamic convergence of skills enables African Estimate to provide integrated business intelligence, strategic assessment, investigation, and security services solutions.
The company’s recruitment and retention strategy not only seeks to enrol the finest security specialists into its fold, but also invests in the establishment of an Associate Practitioner’s Program through which we are able to access and deploy various scarce skills experts — Chartered Accountants, Auditors, Academics, and Scholars — on whom we rely for their substantial expertise and experience within their respective fields.
We have also secured strategic cooperation alliances with several international security service providers, enabling us to extend to our clients a wider geographical coverage of our services and thereby earning us the coveted reputation of being an international security services hub.
Our Company’s Leadership
The expertise embodied by African Estimate is derived from its leadership’s vast business experience, extensive sectoral knowledge, and the strategic networks cultivated over time. Furthermore, the collective operational acumen of its leadership equates to over 100 years of sectoral experience.
Mulangi Mphego – Executive Chairperson
Mulangi is a retired Lieutenant General who holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration. His security career spans over 35 years, beginning in the liberation struggle’s Non-Statutory Forces, and continuing in the post-democratic Security Services Structures of South Africa where he served in various command capacities in the Crime Intelligence Division. He also served as Special National Security Advisor in the Presidency during the 6th Administration and supported the Office of the Deputy President in peace-building, post-conflict intervention, as well as reconstruction and development programs.
Tau Thekiso – Head of Operations
Tau is a retired Brigadier who served as Commander of the Presidential Protection Unit. He holds an NQF 8 in Safety and Security Executive Program as well as a Certificate in Security and Defense Management. His early career is rooted in military service, having served in the liberation struggle’s Non-Statutory Forces since 1985 and subsequently in the post-democratic Security Services Structures. Prior to joining African Estimate, he served as Security Manager at Airports Company South Africa and Gibela Rail Consortium respectively. He is a trusted advisor in safeguarding assets and mitigating risks.
Phindile Maseko – Head of Integrated Corporate Services
Phindile is a retired Brigadier with 18 years of experience in Covert and Overt Intelligence Structures. She holds a National Diploma in Development and also served in the Presidency of South Africa as Director in charge of Advisory Support Services during the 6th Administration. In this role, she was responsible for research, content building, as well as the security planning and coordination of the activities of the Deputy President and that of his Special Advisors.
Siphiwe Ndaba – Project Manager
Siphiwe has over 8 years of experience in the Public Service. He holds an Honours Degree in Urban and Regional Planning as well as a Certificate in Management Practice. Siphiwe has served in the Presidency of South Africa as a National Security Researcher in the Office of the Deputy President during the 6th Administration.
